10/11/2014 - As you might notice, the gaps between clips is getting bigger, and this is because we are now in proper winter mode. The badgers have become much more scarce and now just visit alone, or in pairs. Its strange how the behaviour changes and we assume it is all to do with the winter months. Badgers do not hibernate, therefore we do not expect them to disappear - they do still come...however our clocks are now messed up, as dusk is while we are still working, so we cannot feed the badgers at dusk. The food still goes out at the same time, but it has already been dark for some time, therefore the badgers are likely to have come and gone on their travels for the evening. They do still come though, so they must drift back later on, so timing is much more unreliable.
Anyway, here we can see a badger taking a dislike to the weather. They are pretty hardy creatures, and dont care if it is raining - worms are plentiful when its raining after all. However, they do not seem to like downpours - proper heavy rain. They tend to scarper for (presumably) shelter!
